My third session at Tinkering Lab in DAV Public School, Sahibabad

Atal Innovation Mission Tinker Fest 2019

Points which I discussed in today's session:- 

  1. Told students that technology is just a tool to solve the problem and we should treat it like that. 
  2. The main emphasis should be given to problem-solving.
  3. Identify the problems around us and ponder upon the various ways in which we can solve the problem.
  4. After identifying the problem, a brief description to be made so that we can concretize our idea on a piece of paper. 
  5. A working prototype to be built so that we can see our model of the idea and check the flaws in the model(if any).

There was a total of six schools and about 60 students participated in today's ATL fest phototronic 2019.

Changing Mindset in New India and points to ponder upon

I have been witnessing so much positive change in the air after 2014, which is changing Indians mindset from jobs seeker to startup generator. We in our life encounter different types of problems and to solve the problem we design a solution around the problem without giving a try to prototype the solution. In my recent interaction with the school students, I found that the system has changed a lot from the time I used to study in school. Now kids have so much exposure to the tools and techniques to design a prototype for solving the problem, getting the right guidance and expertise from people of different domains. With that rich experience, kids get guidance in problem-solving. The Indian government plan for designing ATL Tinkering labs by NITI Ayog is a remarkable idea. Education and Value System of our Country

My idea rotates around one thing how to make a student employable? In my career of 20 years, I have found that we Institutions and Universities are granting Degrees and churning big bucks from the pockets of poor students. We so-called Academicians and Educated people, do not take our job seriously and never care for the student. I have seen many professors and teachers those take teaching as a secondary job and primary job is administration. The administration is a place where people can get into power and get extra cash rather than teaching.  If we do not teach kids properly, then we are killing the life of our kids, killing our country`s future and parallelizing the humanity. If that kid does not understand what is being taught then whole life he will just be Homosapien not human. Values and Ethics are not taught but to be deep-rooted in the mind of our students.
